Two of these are the same venue on different nights — The Soda Factory in Nagarabhavi runs both the opening Sunday and the closing Monday — so if one sells out, the other is the same night out on a different date.
Dandiya in Bangalore by area
The single most useful filter is distance. Garba runs late, and a venue across the city is a very different evening from one fifteen minutes away.
- South and central: Koramangala 5th Block (Happy Brew), Bannerghatta Road (Kalyani Kala Mandir), Jayamahal (Shringar Palace Garden and Kings Court at Palace Ground).
- East: Whitefield has two — MLR Convention Centre and the KTPO grounds in EPIP — plus HSR Layout, Marathahalli and Sarjapur.
- West and north: Nagarabhavi (The Soda Factory), Rajajinagar (Orion Mall) and DadaMastan Layout (ICB Indian Craft Brewery).
What Dandiya tickets cost in Bangalore
Most nights start at ₹99. That is an early-phase price, not a door price: phases close as they sell, so the same night is usually dearer the closer you book to it, and dearest at the gate if it has not sold out. The outlier is the opening Sunday at The Soda Factory in Nagarabhavi at ₹300, which is a smaller room.
Couple and group passes are common and usually cheaper per head than singles. Check the individual listing — the price on this page is the lowest entry for that night, not the only one.
What to wear to Garba
Traditional, and it is worth the effort — a chaniya choli or lehenga, or a kurta with a Nehru jacket. Several of these nights run a best-dressed prize.
The thing first-timers get wrong is footwear. Garba is three to five hours of continuous dancing and most venues ask you to be barefoot on the floor. Wear something you can step out of easily and do not mind leaving at the edge of the floor.
How to pick your night
- First time, want to be taught: the "Anybody Can Dandiya" nights are built around that — the name is the format.
- Want traditional over Bollywood: Garba Ni Raat at Kalyani Kala Mandir leads on authenticity; the Disco and Bollywood Dandiya nights are exactly what they sound like.
- Big crowd and production: MLR Convention Centre in Whitefield, the KTPO grounds and Palace Ground are the arena-scale ones.
- A bar night that happens to be Dandiya: Happy Brew in Koramangala, Badmaash in Sarjapur, ICB in DadaMastan Layout.
- Weeknight, smaller crowd: Wednesday 14 October has four nights on at once across Marathahalli, HSR, Sarjapur and DadaMastan Layout.
Practical notes
- Start times are early. Several begin at 4pm or 5pm, not 9pm. The 3:45pm start at Shringar Palace Garden is the earliest.
- Book ahead for the weekend nights. Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October carry three nights each and are the ones that sell out.
- Check the venue, not just the area. Two different Shift Lounge outlets — Marathahalli and HSR Layout — run their own Bollywood Disco Dandiya on the same evening.
